Seeking an egar and self-motivated outside sales representative to join our heavy construction equipment sales team! This representative will be responsible for covering the following Iowa counties: Black Hawk, Buchanan, Tama, Benton, Poweshiek, Iowa, and Keokuk. This outgoing individual will handle new and used equipment sales and rentals. Responsible for new business development while maintaining current customer accounts.  

Responsibilities will include product support sales, building and maintaining customer relationships, establishing & meeting parts & service sales goals.  This includes working directly with the inside product support group, sales manager & marketing personnel in finding ways to target customers to increase sales. This position requires 80% or more of travel time.

This position is responsible for promoting rentals and the rental concept to customers, educating them in proper equipment applications along with technology advancements that enable greater productivity. Rental Sales Reps are focused on building customer relationships, completing jobsite visits and identifying rental opportunities within the assigned territory.

 The purpose of the Rental Sales Representative role is to target and drive rental revenue and increase market share for our Iowa City, IA sales territory. This position is responsible for promoting construction equipment rentals and sales to customers, educating them in proper equipment applications along with technology advancements that enable greater productivity. Rental Sales Reps are focused on building customer relationships and identifying rental and sales opportunities within the assigned territory. Please Note: the rental sales rep for this position will report to the Cedar Rapids, IA location, but the sales territory for this role will service Johnson, Iowa, Cedar and Poweshiek counties.

The Customer Service Rep is a professional sales and marketing position designed to improve our customer’s experience by following up on leads generated by marketing in real time and have the ability to close the sale immediately.  A key focus of this role is to make sure that our investments in marketing and lead generation are captured with tangible outcomes both in profit for the company and customer satisfaction/retention. The goal of this position is to re-establish, qualify, and maintain contact with small- to medium-sized customers to increase sales of equipment to retail customers.

This position is responsible for selling and renting new and used heavy construction equipment. This is a 100% commission position and is perfect for the self motivated outside sales professional. Position covers the following Illinois territory: Counties include: Edgar, Douglas, Coles, Moultrie, Shelby, Cumberland, and Clark.

Altorfer Rents Sales Academy   Time Frame approx.18-24 months   Position Goal Working under the guidance of the Rental Sales Manager the employee will train & learn all aspects of the rental business via rotational assignments, including counter sales, outside sales, service department, yard maintenance, parts counter, etc. with the goal of developing into a Sales Representative position.
