The Strategy Portfolio Manager drives day‑to‑day strategy execution and business process improvement within Altorfer across divisions. This is a hands‑on role that personally maintains the portfolio of divisional strategic goals and action plans—ensuring they are clearly defined, consistently tracked, and effectively communicated—while helping coordinate and guide contributors across teams.
Reporting to the Vice President of Strategy & CIO, this role blends individual execution with cross‑functional coordination across IT, Marketing, and the broader business, converting customer feedback and improvement initiatives into measurable results.
This position is responsible for analyzing, managing, and optimizing parts inventory across Altorfer locations to maximize inventory performance, support customer demand, and achieve company inventory objectives.
Perform repairs on all brands of rental equipment as well as some customer owned equipment. Skilled technician and familiar with multiple brands such as CAT, Genie, Skyjack, Hybrid, JLG, Wacker, Polaris, Miller, and Sullair.
Shop supervisor is accountable for the efficiency and discipline of all shop technicians assigned to him/her. He/she must possess a deep knowledge of construction equipment repair processes and have excellent organizational skills. Customer relations and customer satisfaction are also key ingredients of the job.

Provide technical service support to Power Systems customers in a shop environment. This support is in the form of maintaining and troubleshooting diesel engines. Able to successfully perform a complete engine overhaul, Assist in the shop with engine tear downs, cleaning parts, staging parts for bigger engines, installing and testing to ensure the concern is fixed. Ensures quality customer service activities designed to increase customer satisfaction.

The driver is responsible for safely transporting employees and customers to and from meetings and events throughout the Altorfer territory which includes the entire state of Illinois, southeastern Iowa, northern Missouri and two counties in Indiana. Some trips may require travel outside of the Altorfer territory. Drivers will need to be available for weekday trips and some weekend trips.
