Working Hours/Days

8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday – Friday; Overtime as needed.

Overview

Responsible for reviewing service work orders to determine if the repairs are warrantable to manufacturers and consult with the store service departments as needed.

Basic Duties

 

  • Responsible for submitting and processing warranty claims.
  • Verify all correct claim payments vs. amount claimed.
  • Review any non-allowed or returned claims and resubmit claims for last-chance recovery.
  • Submit and review other manufacturer warranties that have been authorized.
  • Answer all coverage questions by phone or email from parts, service, and sales department.
  • Work closely with assigned stores service and parts management team.
  • Enter proper notes and delivery information in DBS, and work orders.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

           

  • Warranty processing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and previous experience in Construction equipment industry preferred.
  • Must be a self-starter with good time management, planning, and organization skills with a commitment to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer literate and proficient with programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook required. Knowledge of DBS preferred
  • Ability to write professional business communication when sending emails, letters, notes, and documenting is required.
  • Excellent customer service skills are needed.
  • Dependability and organizational skills a must.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record. This includes no more than 2 minor violations within the past 3 years and no major violations within the past 5 years (Motor Vehicle Report will be performed on final candidate).

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

This position works in an office environment. May, on a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Some walking and lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required. There may be times when you may need to go out into the service shop or warehouse area and will be required to wear appropriate safety equipment (IE- Safety glasses or side shields). The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
