Working Hours/Days

8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday, some Saturday’s and off hours as needed.

Overview

The Electrical Testing Program Manager is in charge of promoting and managing all activities associated with the electrical testing/maintenance business segment. Ensures quality customer service activities designed to enhance sales volume and excel in customer satisfaction. 

Basic Duties

  • Identifies opportunities within the Altorfer territory to pursue electrical maintenance.
  • Surveys jobsites to quantify work and inventory equipment to be serviced.
  • Interfaces with customers to discuss work and promote electrical maintenance services.
  • Develops scope of work and prepares formal proposals in accordance with InterNational Electrical Testing Association (NETA) guidelines.
  • Works with Commercial Service Coordinator to schedule manpower.
  • Monitors job progress as service is performed.
  • Provides technical assistance and has overall responsibility for quality control.
  • Insures ongoing safety compliance in accordance with NFPA-70E and OSHA requirements.
  • Receives information from electrical technicians and compiles raw data into formal reports.
  • Prepares professional summary of findings. Assembles test reports into presentation binder for customer.
  • Identifies and pursues incremental service opportunities.
  • Review invoices to insure billing is in accordance with proposal and covers the services provided.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 year degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Good mechanical/electrical knowledge and safety compliance is essential.
  • Ability to deal with multiple activities, while maintaining an excellent “can do” attitude is a must.
  • Requires superb customer service skills, and the ability to see solutions in every situation.
  • Computer literacy and experience with programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook. Familiar with DBS preferred but not required.
  • Administrative expertise and computer skills are necessary.
  • Ability to express ideas and influence others in a positive manner to accomplish work goals.  
  • Good organizational skills with excellent communication skills (verbally & written) is required.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record. This includes no more than 2 minor violations within the past 3 years and no major violations within the past 5 years (Motor Vehicle Report will be performed on final candidate)

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

This position works in an office environment. May on a continuous basis walk, bend and lift up to 20lbs. Will be required to wear appropriate safety equipment (IE- Safety glasses or side shields, hearing protection, etc.) for a given situation. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed. Occasional travel may be required. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
