  • Overview

    The General Administration Mail Room Clerk is responsible for providing office service support for a variety of functions. Primary job functions will include all mailroom activities, back-up receptionist and clerical accounting functions.  Additional requests as approved by manager.

    Basic Duties

    Mailroom:

    • Handle the incoming/outgoing flow of both regular and interoffice mail
    • Deliver mail 2 times daily to all 3 buildings
    • Process all outgoing mail and delivery service requests. This will include operating

     

    • the postage machine, completing the necessary documents for overnight/registered/certified mail and scheduling pick-ups and deliveries as needed from FedEx
    • Keep current on postage and delivery service updates and changes

    Receptionist Backup:

    • Operate computer switchboard, handle high volume of calls and route calls efficiently and accurately
    • Greet and register visitors

    Clerical Accounting Functions:

    • Provide support for the Accounts Payable and Cash Application functions including data entry using corporate software.

     

     

    Qualifications

    • High School graduate (or equivalent)
    • One year previous experience General Office, mailroom, receptionist, clerical accounting or customer service.
