    POSITION SUMMARY: The PM Service Supervisor is accountable for managing day-to-day operations of the Preventative Maintenance Department and plays a vital role in the overall success of Altorfer Cat in the territory. The PM Service Supervisor must be a personable problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset, and a leader of people that drives accountability, and must have the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment

    Responsibilities

    The PM Service Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and managing all Preventative Maintenance Service performed in the field by PM Technicians. Responsibilities include the following: 

      • Exemplify our Corporate Values of Integrity, Customer Focus, Accountability and Teamwork
    • Provide leadership and direction as required to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction, employee engagement and profitability

     

    • Properly coordinate all activities with customer schedules and customer requirements
    • Ensure customer requirements related to Billing/Invoicing are met
    • Manage day-to-day activities of PM Department personnel
    • Manage work-flow and scheduling to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction and shop efficiency
    • Manage the work order process from opening jobs through job invoicing
    • Consistently enforce work rules and company policies
    • Conduct semi-annual performance reviews for all direct reports
    • Ensure operations conform to industry and company performance metrics and benchmarks
    • Occasionally participate in sales calls with Sales Reps.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE

     

    • Bachelor degree with minimum of one year supervisory experience in construction equipment service and repair, or a minimum of five years of supervisory experience in construction equipment service and repair.
    • Experience as an Equipment Manager, Service Manager or Service Supervisor a plus
    • Advanced user of all Microsoft Office products to include Excel
    • Working knowledge of Caterpillar programs DBSi, SMIS 2 and PSEL a plus
    • Working knowledge of DSI or Service Link is a plus

     

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    Direct Reports: Service Writers, Technicians, Helpers

     

    SKILLS/ABILITIES:

     

    • Working knowledge of a P&L
    • Ability to understand, interpret and leverage performance metrics related to efficiency, productivity, profitability, safety, market share, resource deployment and general operations.
    • Exceptional communication, management, leadership and interpersonal skills
    • Working knowledge of MSHA, OSHA and EPA regulations as they relate to the industry
